Join a leading Irish healthcare company delivering innovative pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and biocides. A progressive Irish-owned healthcare company is seeking a Healthcare Portfolio Manager – Consumables Division to support the growth of its expanding range of disposable and consumable healthcare products.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially driven professional with experience in healthcare or hospital sales to build strong relationships with procurement, supply chain, and stores departments across hospitals, healthcare facilities, and other healthcare organisations throughout Ireland.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in healthcare or hospital sales, ideally within procurement or consumables. Experience selling to supply chain, purchasing, or stores departments is a strong advantage.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, or a related field is desirable.
- Relationship Building: Skilled at developing and maintaining relationships with procurement professionals, buyers, and key stakeholders in healthcare organisations.
- Commercial Awareness: Strong understanding of tendering, pricing structures, and supply chain processes within healthcare.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to identify customer needs, propose solutions, and develop tailored strategies to support account growth.
- Presentation & Communication: Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Organisation & Adaptability: Highly organised, self-motivated, and adaptable to the needs of a fast-paced, growth-focused company.
- Additional Advantage: Familiarity with healthcare consumables, medical supply chains, and procurement systems (e.g. HSE, hospitals, or group purchasing organisations) is desirable.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and grow business opportunities within the healthcare consumables and disposables portfolio, achieving agreed sales and profitability targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with procurement, purchasing, and supply chain teams across healthcare facilities.
- Deliver engaging product presentations and training to ensure clear understanding of product benefits and value propositions.
- Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide accurate forecasting to the Sales Director.
- Keep abreast of market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify opportunities for portfolio expansion.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and workshops, promoting the brand and product range professionally.
- Uphold the company’s values and reputation by acting ethically, responsibly, and customer-focused at all times.
- Manage time and territory efficiently, ensuring customer expectations are consistently met and exceeded.
