Join a leading Irish healthcare company delivering innovative pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and biocides. We’re looking for a Healthcare Portfolio Manager – Pharmacy to drive product and business growth within the pharmacy sector, supporting our expanding portfolio across Ireland. Reporting to the Sales Director, you’ll play a key role in developing partnerships with hospital and community pharmacy teams, promoting high-quality healthcare solutions that make a real difference.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in hospital sales within the Pharmacy department or 2 years as a Hospital Pharmacy Technician with strong commercial awareness. Proven sales experience is a significant advantage.
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree and/or a pharmaceutical technician diploma (or equivalent) is desirable.
- Relationship Building: Ability to establish rapport and inspire confidence with key decision-makers in a clinical environment.
- Strategic Thinking: Skilled at identifying customer needs and developing strategies to address them.
- Technical Knowledge: Comfortable discussing complex technical or clinical information.
- Presentation & Communication: Excellent presentation skills and proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Adaptability: Flexible and responsive to the needs of a dynamic, growth-oriented organisation.
- Additional Advantage: Knowledge of pharmaceutical guidelines, key regulatory bodies (HPRA, EMA), and compliance/quality assurance standards (GMP, GDP) is desirable.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities, achieving sales targets within the pharmacy portfolio.
- Provide expert technical and clinical guidance, including training and education on the safe and effective use of pharmacy products.
- Maintain a live pipeline of new business opportunities and track progress toward targets.
- Stay informed of product developments, industry trends, and market changes.
- Build and maintain long-term customer relationships through education, support, and clinical value.
- Represent the company at national and international conferences, and support local workshops and study days.
- Uphold ethical standards and represent the organisation professionally at all times.
- Manage time effectively to meet customer needs and expectations across a large geographic territory.
